LABORATORIES

The main role of our laboratories is support of biocellulose production and optimization of fermentation process,which involve strict quality control based on analytic tests and sophisticted research methods.

Obtained biocellulose is investigated in term of physicochemical properties in our quality control laboratory. We test its application as wound dressings, face masks or medical implants. We can also develop biocellulose matrix adjusted to customer-specific needs.
The role of our R&D laboratory is invention and development of brand new products. It is based on modification of biocellulose dressing using different physical and chemical approaches. Our researches focus on market demand and our customers needs in combination with state- of- the-art equipment and possibilities given by modern science.

Our laboratories are equipped with the top class devices which help us to optimize processes of biocellulose production and develop pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations. In order to optimize and scale-up the processes of biocellulose fermentation we use bioreactors in different sizes. Our laboratories are also equipped in high class analytical devices like HPLC and advanced spectrophotometer. Moreover, there are homogenizers in different sizes and Franz chamber used in development of biocellulose products.

WE BELIEVE THAT BIOCELLULOSE IS THE MATERIAL OF THE FUTURE.

Due to unique properties of biocellulose we are running several research and development programmes in order to develop new ways of biocellulose implementation.

    PROJECT KAD-TECH

    In cooperation with The National Center of Development we are running project named "Developing the production method of analgetic dressing after haemorrhoids".

    Our goal is to elaborate method of production of first BC analgetic dressing, which can be used in after haemorrhoids treatment.

    "BOWIL BIOTECH BUSINESS PROGRESS THROUGH STARTING THE MEDICAL-TRAINING CENTRE"

    This project was open in order to popularize BC healing properties and applications among medical staff and local community.

    PROJECT CARDIO BC

    We are one of the participants of Cardio BC Project, which concerns evaluation and assessment of the bacterial cellulose application as a material for bio-prostheses in human cardiovascular system. The evaluation is based on mechanical and biochemical tests of BC, computational analysis, in vitro tests of model and finally on in vivo tests pericardium patch, BC-vessel, aortic valve prosthesis and composite aortic graft within the animal model.

    The main aim of the project is evaluation of the BC material for clinical implementation tests as prostheses in human.

    Our aim is development of bacterial cellulose, which would be used as a biocompatibility material for prostheses in human cardiovascular system.
